Sett og skutt integration

Count what you see on every hunting day, including the days you see nothing, and write the weight the way you actually weighed it. The numbers go where they have to go, so the team is not filling in the same figures twice at the end of the season. Planned for iOS and Android.

Reminders before a planned hunt

A reminder while there is still time to act on it. Charge the phone, download the map for the terrain, pack what you need, and leave when you should, instead of learning at the meeting point that the battery is at eleven percent. It comes from the hunt the team already planned, with the time and the meeting point it was given, so nobody has to remember to send it in the group chat. Planned for iOS and Android.

LoRa Functionality

Keep the team connected where there is no coverage. A small LoRa radio pairs with the phone and carries positions and short messages between hunters over the air, with no cell network and no subscription. The map keeps updating and the hunt log keeps filling while you are out of range. Everything syncs the moment one of you has signal again. Planned for iOS and Android.

Garmin dog tracking

See the dogs on the same map as the team. If your dogs wear Garmin trackers, their positions come into Hunta from the Garmin watch or handheld, so everyone follows the dog work instead of only the hunter holding the Garmin. Dogs and hunters on one map, with the terrain, the posts and the wind already around them. No second screen to watch, and no reading out coordinates over the radio. Planned for iOS and Android.

See where a teammate was last seen

A hunter who loses coverage does not disappear from the map. The pin stays where he last reported from, and says how old that is: last seen here, 32 minutes ago. While he is walking, the pin follows him closely. When he sits down on a post it settles into a slower heartbeat, so the battery lasts the day without the map going quiet. Planned for iOS and Android.

Backtracking

Find your way back. Hunta records the route as you walk, so you can follow the line back to the car, to the post, or to the last place you knew where you were. It works with the map offline as well. It runs off the track that is already being recorded during the hunt, so there is nothing extra to switch on. Planned for iOS and Android.

Noe savn etter første helg med jakt på nytt terreng

Fargefilter: Rødt og Grønn. Hjelper for nattesynet, og grønn er er farge som ikke dyra ser. Ville vært fantastisk. Grenser: Savner en liten mulighet for «sjakk-mønster» funksjon på grensene. Vi deler en del med naboene og hadde vært fint å kunne dele inn i mindre rubrikker. Kvoter: En raskere måte å hente inn kvote på, istedenfor 1 og 1 lagring, så kan man plotte antall dyr og hvilken type av hvert dyr før man lagrer i en éngang. Sti: For meg i nytt terreng hadde det vært genialt om man kunne starta en «tur» som ble lagret på kartet. Slik at neste person som skal til posten kan følge den letteste ruta opp på post f.eks

Elevation indicator

Height above sea level, on the map where you stand. A map tells you the terrain is steep, but not what you are standing at, and the contour lines are the last thing you want to count in poor light. The finished hunt also gets the metres you climbed, next to distance and duration, so a hard day reads as a hard day. Planned for iOS and Android.

Follow Along Functionality

Follow the hunt without being out in it. Anyone on the team can watch a live hunt from home or from the cabin and see the map, the hunters and the sightings as they are logged, without starting a hunt of their own. The hunters see who is following along, so nobody is watching unannounced. Planned for iOS and Android.
