Charge the phone, download the map for the terrain, pack what you need, and leave when you should, instead of learning at the meeting point that the battery is at eleven percent. Height above sea level, on the map where you stand. A map tells you the terrain is steep, but not what you are standing at, and the contour lines are the last thing you want to count in poor light. The finished hunt also gets the metres you climbed, next to distance and duration, so a hard day reads as a hard day. Planned for iOS and Android.

Follow the hunt without being out in it. Anyone on the team can watch a live hunt from home or from the cabin and see the map, the hunters and the sightings as they are logged, without starting a hunt of their own. The hunters see who is following along, so nobody is watching unannounced. Planned for iOS and Android.

Talk to the team while the hunt is running. The chat sits inside the live hunt, next to the map, so a message about where the dog went or where the animal was last seen reaches everyone without leaving the app. Send a photo when words are not enough, and read the conversation back afterwards along with the rest of the hunt. Find your way back. Hunta records the route as you walk, so you can follow the line back to the car, to the post, or to the last place you knew where you were. It works with the map offline as well. A small LoRa radio pairs with the phone and carries positions and short messages between hunters over the air, with no cell network and no subscription. If your dogs wear Garmin trackers, their positions come into Hunta from the Garmin watch or handheld, so everyone follows the dog work instead of only the hunter holding the Garmin. Your profile is a hunting card now, with your photo on it, the way a licence card looks. It is something you show, not a settings page. Editing moved to its own screen, so the card stays a card.

Every pin on the map answers now. Posts, cabins, gates and parking open a card with the name and what it is. The map tells you what each pin means, so nobody has to carry it in their head.

Type a place name and the map goes there. Any place, not only the ground you hunt. Handy when someone tells you where they are and you want the map to agree with them.

Your teams sit as a row of crests at the top. Tap one and the whole app follows: map, terrain, posts and chat. No menu to open first, and no doubt about which team you are looking at.
